1 edit | The user guide explains the set up differences ...
The Ooma user guide, included with the Ooma core, explains the various set up choices. The Ooma forums, or the DSLreports technical forum all offer help for new Ooma users. I don't recall seeing any post asking any question by you in the dslreports forum. At the time I write this you seem to have made a total of 3 posts all in the U-Verse forum.
Ooma modified its website for the October 1 release of the Telo. You may be unaware, but instead of an Ooma lounge, Ooma now uses my.ooma. You will require your phone number and password to logon. If you don't know them, call customer service and ask.
You are the 2nd new to dslreports user to trash Ooma within the past month. If you require help, ask on a forum, or write bobbyb via email from the Ooma forums. He is generally one of the most helpful people you will ever meet.
I am surprised the free, high quality calling, gets a 60% value for the money. Actually I'm not surprised. I was surprised the first time a new user came along and bashed Ooma. Now it is starting to appear as more of a pattern.
Edit to add: At the time of this post (and edit) the only review you have ever posted is of Ooma. It is yet another new user trashing Ooma. Sigh. -- "People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use." | | sparkstm

2 edits | Pandora, Thank you for taking time to reply to my review.
Please be assured that I read through many posts on various forums at the Ooma site and DSL Reports, read through the Ooma Hub manual (cover to cover) and, as I noted in my review, I DID find the answer to my set up question in one of the forums -- just as you seem to imply is necessary to get an answer! My problem is that the explanation in the user manual was not clear, and that when I called their customer service rep. they could not explain the difference in the choices.
You will note that I have updated my review now that my problems with my.ooma have finally been resolved after a week of waiting, with no communication from the support team and no help or reply after posting on their forums during that week. My problems were finally resolved after I emailed the support team, as I noted in my updated review (I did receive a response back from the forum on the same day the support team emailed back.) And, oh yes, I knew my phone number and password and how to log in from day one.
If your access to your account was unaffected by the website upgrade -- well, great. To the rest of us (and according the Ooma forums, there were many--), who endured the effects of this upgrade, and were frustrated for a week, please do not put me down for what I was reporting about my experience.
Also, please re-read the last line in my orginal (and updated) review. I am not a new user to dslreports, only one who was deactivated after not posting for a while--the "new" account was the only quick way to get back in -- | | bvs
