Back and forth with Windsor locks UPS Hub OP Management. Over why one of their drivers can't seem to get it right? All my UPS packages goes next door to another house number. Both houses are not close together yet the drivers always drop it off next door on their rear porch step.
Today I was outside out back, but sure enough the UPS driver speeds off but before he does drops another package off at the next door address back porch deck. Ran back inside to see if the tracking number has any info?
Reported 4:04pm still in transit. It wasn't until 4:30pm did it say it was delivered at the Front Door at 4:04pm. What a lie! Was delivered next door again. Then again the neighbor has to send one of their sons to drop off my package to my rear porch deck.
To me this is really crazy on UPS part. FedEx delivers my packages okay even rings the bell so does USPS, but not UPS!
I had suggested that OP Manager if she has any power have someone shadow the driver to see why he can't find the house which is right next door to the house he or she is dropping my packages too! Then she had asked me what color was my house, but how can you go by colors and not numbers?
My name, address is right there on the packages. House number is right in front of the house! |

| One suggestion, when UPS shows it as delivered and you don't have the shipment, call the vendor you bought the stuff from and tell them that UPS shows it delivered but you don't have it. I wouldn't even mention it was left at the wrong address. I suppose you could call UPS as well and tell them the same thing. Again, don't mention it's at the wrong house.

Thanks for the suggestion, as I haven't called the vendor as of yet to tell them what's going on? I wanted UPS to fixed the problem locally. This is the 3rd time it's has happen! For now on I will contact the vendor if it happens again? Let the vendor and UPS battle it out.
I guess if I don't know where it is better not to tell them it's next door then. Thus the logic with UPS is why just not get it from your net door neighbor then.
Someone not doing their job correctly or needs to be retrained on their route.

I work for UPS and I see this happen every now and then.. is your Neighbors house number close or the same as yours but backwards? the drivers go what on the DIAD sometimes the system that prints the address labels are not always correct.
I hope you did not get a OP's Manager that was an idiot since most are. |

2 edits | Corp UPS calls the OP Manager at Windsor Locks. I use to work at the Hub at Locust Street in Hartford. So I know that that packages get where they're suppose to but the Windsor Locks Hub or Airport Hub seems to have issues now. Yes the OP Manager she's not all there, I can tell when she calls. I just had spoken to her this Monday and again on Wednesday. She told me the delivery Manager had spoken to the driver. She now told me she has brought it up a level now. What level I don't know?
As for the numbers I have mine on a black metal plate with shiny numbers in a straight line. The guy next door has his numbers huge up right. This just started last month. The few months prior this year I say 6 months I started to get stuff of a house that was empty but now has people it in. I couldn't drop off the package because my left leg was giving me issues. So UPS had to recall the driver to pickup that package and deliver it to that house. Never had anymore issues. Until I got back here last month. FedEx and USPS deliver the packages without issues why the heck does UPS now drop them off next door?
The packages say this address not the next door guy house so what gives. Driver needs to read or has some issues. Anyway more packages are schedule to get here soon. I won't know who's bringing them either FedEx, USPS or UPS? |

"READ THE ADDRESS! YOU'VE GOT THE WRONG HOUSE!"
you won't get that particular package that day, but he'll damn sure remember your address/neighborhood the next time.

Ted Koppy: "Hello. I'm Ted Koppy. Our top story tonight.. A quiet Enfield neighborhood is in disbelief this afternoon after a brutal attack of a UPS driver and the killing of a homeowner in that neighborhood. Ann Nyberg has the details."
Ann Nyberg: "Thanks Ted. It all happened around 4pm today. Police say that when a UPS driver tried to deliver a package to a particular address in Enfield, a neighbor to that address ran out of his house with a baseball bat towards the UPS driver screaming, 'Read the address! You've got the wrong house!.' At that point the UPS driver dropped the package and attempted to run back to the safety of his vehicle. But the angry neighbor was too fast. Police say that the UPS driver was struck in the leg once, knocking him down to the ground. The angry neighbor then started hitting the UPS driver repeatedly yelling, 'What the [expletive] has Brown done for me?!' and 'Is it still in transit, [expletive]?!' At that point, neighbors called 911 while one person tried to stop the attack. The angry neighbor then turned on the good samaritan and started hitting him with the baseball bat. Police say that the good samaritan then pulled out a hand gun and fired one shot at the angry neighbor, killing him. The UPS driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital where his injuries are being evaluated at this time. Police questioned the good Samaritan and have no plans on charges being filed at this time. The angry neighbor was pronounced dead at the scene. Ted..."
Ted Koppy: "Thanks Ann. In other news, Verizon has announced plans to buy AT&T's telephone landline business here in Connecticut. Verizon stated in a press release that if the sale goes through, the citizens of Connecticut would see millions of dollars spent in the State on fiber upgrades, which AT&T has failed to do. Verizon plans on implementing its FiOS product as soon as State regulators allow."

1 edit | Very creative you got every part of what the news is all about to make the story interesting, but there won't be any weapons used and you forget it might be the next door neighbor who might be the one that looses it because they have a new task to deliver my UPS packages to me when I get more come in.
With the complaints filed against the UPS driver he better deliver! |

USPS drop off the packages right to the front door
FEDEx handed me my packages.
I notice more vendors are using USPS and FEDEx than UPS. But I know UPS will be coming out this way as the wife orders from QVC and HSN who uses that service. I'll keep my wits end with UPS just hope the deliver here and not next door again.

My situation is a bit different from yours. My UPS guy regularly drops stuff out the door of his truck (tossing it from inside to outside). He almost always comes very late (usually near 7PM). I've seen him drop stuff for no apparent reason while just walking to the door while I was waiting. If there is a "this side up" it is 100% guaranteed he will flip it upside down.
Today my son was expecting a new video game from Amazon, it is the product release date. Amazon shipped as usual, on time. I subscribed to get text messages about the progress. It was reported out for delivery at 8:45AM, and at 1:06PM I get an exception text that the package was left at the facility and will be delivered on the next business day.
My kid gets to wait another day, needlessly, because my UPS driver is ultra incompetent. If Amazon offered Fed-Ex for an extra fee, I'd buy it in a second. UPS is just awful for us. Our particular driver had to take classes in how to be the worst delivery person imaginable.

We used to have decent UPS service, about 3 or 4 years ago something changed and somehow we got very late delivery and an awful driver.

None of the stuff I had ordered were UPS stuff. Now I am wondering about 10 packages are coming here one must be bound for UPS driver.
Your problem sounds like you got a lazy driver. All the UPS drivers leave this house for the last pit-stop. FEDEx comes early actually I had got 3-day service but in 2-days with FEDEx.
UPS is not doing so well, if enough us complain to the media I am sure they'll do something. Just don't stand for it! |

it doesn't matter if they like it. don't call, just show up at the depot and get your package that they failed to deliver.
