CallerID of My Outgoing Calls?

Not sure this is the right place, but it was the best I could find on the site. Sorry if not.

Is there a way to have Verizon change my account so my name displays on other people's CallerID when I call them from my cell phone?

Today when I call a land line from my cell phone, it shows my number and "CELL PHONE MD" or something generic like that. I have friends with cell phones that show their name when they call people. I don't know if their phone is VZW though.

I called VZW yesterday and they said there was no way to make this happen.

Thanks.

I have asked this question before to an actual VZW CSR and they said that you need to call their 1-800# and have them make the change for you. This may vary from state-to-state though.

I heard that too, and have a friend who's phone does this (don't know if it is VZW or not though). I called VZW and they said they cannot do it.

Go to your phone number in the settings/phone info and fill in the blanks.... And name and full ph#

And also in settings/phone/caller id.

Select yes to send id instead of network select.....

If not, pm me your phone model and prl #... and I'll see if I can give you a few more things to try.
