|  Ultralight with long battery life?
I'm traveling in Europe... have Acer AspireOne, but battery sucks - 90 minutes or so
I am looking to go to Asia and would really love to get an light/ultralight laptop with looooong battery life...
any recommendations?

| I do not usually hype any one brand/model, but I do like the HP DV3T series. It is not the smallest ultralight out there, but it is fully-configured (including optical drive), and offers very good battery life, some 5+ hours on the six cell battery and 9 hours if you go the 8 cell (but bulkier!) route.
It is a well-built/well-designed series with decent choice of configuration options available based on your needs.

Get an extended battery for your Aspire One. I have one and it's good. Up to 10 hours or so.

My Asus 1000HE Netbook lasts for a good 9 hours. Wife's Toshiba 205 does the same.
My old Toughbook (CF-W5 I think) lasted a good six hours or so. |
