New max ram with bios upgrade

I have these 2 PCs. Motherboards:
ms-7104, 2 ram banks 2GB max
ms-6330, 3 ram banks 1.5GB max

I just upgraded BIOS to both. Asked MSI if the max ram had increased, but they simply returned the original spec sheet for each.

I had an old 1.1GHx Intel board, upgraded the bios and then the board would recognize higher capacity ram sticks. So thinking these 2 boards might now recognize higher capacity RAM sticks.

What are chances these board will recognize higher max RAM?

if the bios update didn't say it, then i doubt the max increased.

The BIOS flash update did not have feature notes. Overview page showed no change from the original specs. But am now able to use SATA drives, which did not work prior to flash.

Where would I find notes which state new features or enhancements provided?

In the Intel board reference, the BIOS flash also did not state higher ram capacity, but I took a chance since I already had the higher capacity ram - this time I do not have suitable RAM to test.

Thanks for the input.
