Uhh.. actually it was FIRST available in Calgary before it was available anywhere else. Shaw headquarters are in Calgary, and I highly doubt Nitro would be out in Saskatchewan first, if anything it would be available in Vancouver, after Calgary.

And at a price of $94.95/month for 25Mbps speeds that you will never see or be able to download at that rate, Shaw Nitro is a pure ripoff. I doubt ANYONE has ever received speeds like that. Most sites, or torrents cannot even upload past 5Mbps. So what the hell is the point of having 25Mbps down? If anything Shaw SHOULD HAVE increased their upload speed from 1.0 to something like 10Mbps. If Shaw is going to offer Nitro at a price INSANELY as $94.95/month, and leave the upload cap at 1.0Mbps, that is INSANE. Their not going to have many customers on Nitro, and even if customers do sign up for Shaw Nitro, they are retarded to be paying that kind of money getting ripped off like that.

Uh wrong Spankster,

Shaw launched it in Sask first (and i believe possibly Victoria/Winnipeg but could be wrong) a little after as they are much smaller markets then Calgary/Vancouver.

They would want to test a service like this in both pricing and network strain before launching in a major system.

Uh no, Wrong. Shaw Nitro was available ONLY in BIG cities first, such as Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

You seem to be confused or missing some information,

Nitro is now the 100mbit service, they changed nitro which was 25mbit to Warp in all markets, then launched nitro in the markets i mentioned as the 100 D3 tier.

There is no way that Shaw can offer 100mbit service to residential customers. That is impossible. Their network cannot even handle its load as it as. You seem to be mistaken. Go read the shaw.ca webpage, or infact. I will go and post the information on here myself for you. Since you seem to be so mislead. Shaw HQ is in Calgary, and Shaw Nitro has been available for a good 3 years or more in Calgary. I specifically remember, because my buddy first got Shaw Nitro a few years back, and he was paying $99/month at the time, this is before Shaw lowered the price to $94.95/month.

Re: High-Speed Nitro available in Calgary now

That is for WARP speed, which as i said is what nitro is now called,

Scroll down more and you will see they offer 100mbit NITRO service for $250 a month.

Clearly if you believe 100mbit residential service is impossible you need to read the main page and search the forums for some D3 news articles.

Edit;

This is Nitro which is 100mbit and in calgary, as stated multiple times

The link you posted, is a DSLREPORTS.com LINK. Not a Shaw link. Not anywhere on the shaw page does it say its offering 100Mbit. And if they did, @ a price of $249/month they are fucking nuts and will get no customers, because like I said before, Most sites you download from cannot even UPLOAD to you over 10Mbps at the MAX. So what the hell would you even need 100Mbit for if you can only download @ maximum 10Mbps.

Post a link to the shaw webpage saying they offer 100mbit service. Its not on their, are you thinking of Business Internet? Because I am talking about RESIDENTIAL Internet. Post a link saying where they offer 100mbit besides the rumour DSLreports.com link.
