You can't make all the people happy all of the time. But it should be common sense to shoot for the majority. |

| said by Jim_in_VA :is that DSL or FIOS? .. 1ms jitter, wow 0-1ms of jitter is normal for DSL and fiber. Cable not so much if your node is under load.

| reply to powerspec88 I think they should do some troubleshooting on their results. 3.5 stars out of 5 for both tests? MOS 4.40 for a pingtest of 1ms and 1ms jitter?
This thing is eye candy IMO. |

| reply to Jim_in_VA it's just dsl. Low jitter helps on games and voip but it doesn't show any improvement for browsing. I remember playing on a GOOD server right outside DC which is where my last hop ends, and it was spectacular compared. Just like when I went from 1.5 to 3mb dsl, that helped for things like Youtube before they started throttling, but again for browsing it does nothing. I remember when I had sprint my jitter was around 7ms, but that was on visualware's test. --

| reply to Jim_in_VA said by Jim_in_VA :What is that Whiolesale Internet you got there powers? That would be my dedicated server I host here in Kansas City at Wholesale Internet. I was just showing 0-1ms of jitter is normal. I will try and get a test from my DSL line tonight, but I will have to remote in to it so idk if will be as stable.

The stars thing is what people vote on. If you run a speed test, you can vote on your ISP 1-5 stars. -- »twitter.com/powerspec | »netisinc.com | »speedtest.kcmogaming.net Home Internet: Sprint Mobile Broadband, DSL line: AT&T 6/768 Server: 100Mbps with Cogent/Level3, Work: 550Mbps Total with AT&T and EverestKC/Surewest |

| reply to powerspec88 And on the other end of the scale we have Satellite Internet. This is the big reason satellite is so bad for surfing the net and VOIP. When people see the difference between EVDO and satellite they normally want to switch.
