| Some French Help!
This post is a copy and Paste from Canada Chat. I ask here because I am aware of the high concentration of French speaking population in south central USA. (in area's is exceeds 20%) So, here we go:
------- So we got the okay to convert some of our english video's to french. So I could use some help here. Again, as mentioned before, I cannot just do a direct translation as it loses the message and may not even come out right. If I was 'truly' bilingual this wouldn't be a problem - or if I personally knew Paul Martin or Brian Mulroney - that would be helpful - but you guys at DSLReports have been great, so here we go.
All the video's are at »www.youtube.com/yourownvideo
So, basically, I need to convert the title, description, and the words in the video to proper french - with keeping the proper context.
Title: Froggy Love Description: A little girl leaves her beloved stuffed frog behind at her grandma's house far away and is reunited with it the next day via Xpresspost. Words Used in Video: I miss you froggy love I'm sorry I forgot you You're all I'm dreaming off Please come back home to me
Will take out final scene; I need 'Next day delivery for what matters most'
-------
Title: Manic Monday (is this translatable?) Description: A mother tries to protect her bills from sticky little fingers and a mischievous pet. She finally accomplishes order by using ePost to keep her organized. Text used in Video: Life is hectic. Your bills don't have to be.
--------
Title: Male Bond Description: A little boy goes to great lengths to show his artwork to his busy father and gets his attention by mailing his artwork through xpresspost. Text used in video: Get it noticed.
--------
Title: Go for the Gold Description: Xpresspost triumphs over other products from the other courier companies Olympic style. Text used in Video: Go for the Gold. Next day delivery guaranteed.
---------
Title: You can't stop the future Description: Canada Post changes with the times. Text: Then (as in, the past) and Now (as in the present)
We already did the final part here thanks to you guys. (Embrace the future)
---------
My original idea was just to convert one video (You can't stop the future) but thought we should do most of them. (one has a lot of speaking and therefore cannot be done)
Anyway, this has to be done by September 30 so hopefully with some help from some helpful bilingual DSLReporters we can get this done.
I will notify this site if and when and what get accepted as a finalist.
Again, a million of thanks in advanced, and it should be good for anyone wanting to impress everyone here on how good their french is.
