| Getting setup in my new home office.
Have worked at home for years, but finally have a dedicated space. Trying to figure out where to go from here..
Another ergotron lx arm is on its way for the 3rd monitor. Finding trouble getting chair, keyboard, desk and screen height just right as well. |

| Cool chair, I gots the same Leap chair. Get yourself a ball baring keyboard tray as well. $150 or so and don't get the simple glide ones. You already spent all this money on pricey chair, lcd's, etc.
Keyboard tray will have you seated a bit further back so you will have to scoot the monitors forward. |

Great once you get used to it, but that can take 3 or 4 weeks. 90% of my days are spent coding as well, and I find it makes a great emacs keyboard. |

| reply to jbi130 How would you arrange an 8'x9' enclosed office? Re-arranged everything again, but still not trying to work myself into a corner. But that might be the best solution for wire management and gaining maximum use of the floor space for other things like a book shelf or extra table.. |

Or at least try it that way -- Blame it on the C2H5OH |

| This desk is from Ikea. I have a table with same (adjustable height) legs but mine is one piece. I have found that that the surface I have (white) does not play too nicely with mi Logitech laser mouse. I will have to have a matte under it (hope to find something big that will cover half of the desk then as I'll have 3 keyboards and mice on my desk.
This series comes in different sizes and configurations »www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categ···s/11716/ |

| reply to jbi130 That kind of is in the corner. The desk is pretty large so most of the room seems to be taken up by it. Plus, I've found with 3 monitors at that height, I can't really see whats behind them anyways. My plan was to put a 32" TV on the wall across.. Would be visible with 2 monitors, but doesn't work so well with 3.. Still playing, but I'm currently pushed into a corner which sure opens up the room, but I still don't feel settled. Hope that happens soon tho so I can tidy up the wire management, add some some shelving, etc.
Oh.. The desk is a Galant desk from Ikea. Its alright, not the best, but better than most you'd find at Office Depot/Staples. |
