| Monitoring a Motorola Surfboard
Hello,
Is there any good (preferably freeware) utility for monitoring a Surfboard modem to create a log file is it goes offline.
I've been having problems with the upstream. Yesterday they said the problem was at the tap. They were supposed to fix it today, but I don't know if they did. I want to monitor the modem for a few nights to see if it goes offline. |

| log into the modem 192.168.100.1 and check your signal levels.....Signal to noise ratio should be 25 or higher, Downstream power level shoud be between -15 and +15, closer to 0 is better, Upstream power level should be between 30 and 50
anything outside those perameters and you need to call your cable company |
