| [Connectivity] HD Channel 10-1, Evansville Indiana
Good Evening, Have a question for Evansville, In. subscribers.
I have a Vizio 47" HD TV. I do not have a Digital Cable Box or an HD/DVR box. I connect my cable straight to the TV from the wall outlet. When I scan the channels... I can pick up all the local Channels on HD (4-1, 8-1, 9-1, 10-1, 11-1) on the TV. Insight passes them through and we are able to see the network programming in HD when they broadcast it. Just recently.... we lost the 10-1 hd channel, which I think is the CBS affiliate. We can get channel 10, which is the SD analog channel but not the 10-1 HD channel. Is anyone else in this area that is using the same type of connection setup.... experiencing the same type of issue? I called Insight CS and she said that she thought the she saw a memo on something like that... and she would have them look into it. Well.... that has been about a week ago... and still no 10-1 channel. I re-scan the channels on my TV about every two days just in case that is needed to see the channel again.
So what do you say.... anyone else out there having this issue? TScurlo |

| We have the same prob here. For some reason, one of my TV's finds 10-1 just fine. I found the HD channel on 100-6 I think it was. I was able to watch Letterman in HD last night while going to bed. I don't know if you noticed the 100 channels being active. Mostly repeat stuff. |

Thanks again for the reply to my post. I appreciate it.

| reply to TScurlo I'm in Princeton and suffer from the loss of 10-1, WEVV-HD, as well. I also lost WTSN (36-1) at the same time.
After doing a rescan and still not picking up 10-1 or 36-1, I was rather delighted to find that I now receive digital feeds of my entire Basic Cable subscription. The corresponding channel numbers are as follows:
98-1 WFIE-SD 98-2 WEVV-SD 98-3 WEHT-SD 98-4 CSpan2 98-5 the religion channel on analog 20 98-6 W06BD (Princeton High School's TV station) 98-8 WNIN-SD 102-2 WGN 102-3 TBS 102-4 WAZE-SD 102-5 WTVW-SD 102-6 WNIN-SD subchannel 102-7 QVC 102-8 Discovery Channel 109-9 WEVV subchannel (my44) 102-10 CSpan
I'm curious to know if those who subscribe to Classic Cable are now offered a digital feed of analog channels 2 through 75. If so, I'd be tempted to upgrade my package and avoid renting the digital box. |
