| Is my modem dieing or my ISP???
For the last month I have been having issues with my connection. It is especially noticeable at night between 7pm and 11 pm est. Tests that I run show packet loss ranging from 11% to 24%. I also will randomly lose all connection to the internet BUT all the lights on my modem remain on...
These are some screen shots from my SB5100 page:

From the comcast speed test it wouldn't seem to have any problems but that obviously isn't true.

Does this look to be a problem on the comcast end or possibly my modem?
I have a tec schedueled to come out on Friday but I don't want to waste his time if it is not needed. Thanks |

| It would be a good thing to get your upstream power below 50 dBmv. Make sure that there is no more than one splitter between where the cable enters the house and the modem's input connector.
If the upstream power remains high after doing this, a tech will need to check things out. |

The lady I talked to today said that everything looks good on their end and that my modem or network card may be failing.
She also warned that becuse it is most likely a problem with MY equipment, there will be a $50 service charge.
Is there any way to prove or refute that claim? |
