How to access transmission stats?

Hello,

I've noticed that many posts list the transmission statistics for their DSL connections. Can anyone tell me how to do this with a Starbridge Lynx 220 modem. Sorry if I overlooked anything in search.

I've noticed about a 25% drop in speed concurrent with line noise. After a tech visit, the noise seems to be gone but my speeds did not come back to where they were previously (2100 vs. 1600 kbps).

Thanks!

Not familiar with the brand, but you should be able to find out what the gateway IP address is for it by going to Start > Run > type in cmd and hit enter > enter the command "ipconfig" without the quotes. This should list your current LAN IP address, subnet mask, and Default Gateway, which will be the address you put into your browser to access the modem's web interface (assuming it has one, and is not a bridge only modem). From there you may have to hunt around to find the DSL stats. Good luck!

If you can't get in any other way try 10.0.0.1 which supposedly is the default on this model

Thanks for the suggestions. My default gateway links to my D-Link router. Offhand I don't see any options in the router menu to query the modem itself. Am I missing something else?

Hook directly into modem bypassing Router and try it again

dirtyguy, try what "guy54435" says to then try what "Icon" says. If that doesn't work, try reading this thread ...
