1 edit | [net] NIM-100 pass-through questions
A couple of questions came up in another forum regarding the pass-through capability of the NIM-100 that I have not been able to find the answer to.
1) When using the RF pass-through connection (RF-IN to RF-OUT) on the NIM-100, what is the insertion loss? And yes, I know the insertion loss for MOCA signals is 100%
2) If the NIM-100 were to lose power, is the pass-through connection affected?

| reply to More Fiber 2) Pass-through is not affected by power on or off.
ONT coax -> (NIM-100 Cable-In) / (NIM-100 Cable-Out) -> coax -> DCT-700
I was using the NIM-100 to connect the Slingbox to the router. It took me a little while to run an ethernet connection down to the Slingbox, so I could turn off the NIM-100 and verify I was still slinging video.
I'm not sure how to report insertion loss value. |
