Re: Westell 9100 EM OPTION 7 LAN-To-LAN Guide

Quick question. I followed your instructions and everything is working perfect. I am on PPoE for that setting I just clicked disable.

Everything is working perfect...but I am curious as to why everything still shows up on the MY NETWORK page when I log in to the old Westell. My DIR-655 is handing out the IP's and I can confirm this. The Westell just appears to restating that info. Is this normal behavior?

TIA
M

Some of those entries are remnants of devices when they were controlled by the Westell.

I know that when working with an Actiontec, some of the devices show up even though they are handled by the DIR-655. Give it time or a reboot, and I think they disappear. Eventually.

Verify if they are there by looking in the Connection List. In the Actiontec it is Advanced / IP Address Distribution / Connection List (or sometjhin similar, not running Actiontec in front of me). Not sure if it's the same in the Westell.

Well, I deleted all the clients from the My Network and with autoscan on they popped right back in!

Like I said, it does not appear the Westell is attempting any control, just wondering though...

Is there a reason I should be leaving Autoscan on?

TIA
