ALAS i am leaving ISDN but you would do well to read this

Well you seen it hundreds of times here, someone announcing their leaving the ISDN forums after finally getting DSL or cable, well sadly enough I too am going but I wanted to offer hope for some and tell you what I did and maybe it will help one of you , below I am going to describe products , on some of the just add the . com to them for the websites
I live in a VERY rural area of Tennessee, DSl and Cable are just nonexistent here , I am 50 miles west of Nashville , also at home I have NO CELL PHONE SIGNAL from any carrier , I tried them all
I ran across the wireless forums one day and read where some people were using Verizon and amps and getting service, Verizon has a 5 gb cap , not good at all
What I was able to do was purchase a parabolic grid antenna from lcom , use a Wilson amp ( 811201)and subscribe to Millenicom ( which uses sprint and Verizon cell towers , no caps , no contract) **there has been talk of a soft cap for Millenicom , I hadn’t seen it , I use 8-10 gb months , Yes I can finally watch youtube!***
After installing the antenna and fine tuning it ( pointing ) I am able for the last 4 mths to get a decent signal with a decent download speed ( 500- 1000 kbps) consistently , it is very stable haven’t seen service drop at all
Look here at dslreports forums at the sprint and Verizon forums and READ, READ, READ , Jm in VA was very helpful , ask questions, go to evdo forums and evdo tips ( google them ) Jim has an awesome website that help me immensely ,
So there is hope, I now am able to work from home a couple days a week though a juniper VPN with no problems, yes I spent a little money but my monthly payment (59.00) is a little less than ISDN was
So again look into it and ask questions and again READ, READ, READ , hopefully this will help some of you out , Drop me a line if you have questions , netwerx-r-us@msn.com
