| SBV5222 keeps rebooting
I recently got this new modem from my cable company (Time Warner Cable, upstate New York) and it is doing the same as my old modem, which start about 1 week ago, rebooting. There is no specific time that is does it. Just happens. Nothing has changed as to wiring.
Signal strengths when it does reboot:
DOWNSTREAM
Frequency: 609000000 Hz S/R: 38dB Downstream Modulation: QAM 256 Network Access Control Object: ON Power Level: 0dBmV (Appears to be locked at this value)
UPSTREAM
ChannelID: 1 Frequency: 31008000 Hz Ranging Service ID: 2228 Symbol Rate: 2.560 Msym/s Power Level: 55dBmV
SIGNAL STATS
Total Unerrored Codewords 465842392 Total Correctable Codewords 679 Total Uncorrectable Codewords 7900
LOG FILE
No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out (Appears 15 times in a row, after 15th one, the modem reboots)
Everything I have read, leads me to think that there is a problem with the main cable line (do have a tech coming this week to check things out). When I am not having problems then the readings above all seem to be fine. Not sure what to think of this issue. Any help you could give me that I could relay to the tech when he comes would be great. |
