 RE: Sprint Will Pay Ericsson $5B to Run Its Network

It looks like Sprint doesn't want to be the "dumb pipe" that some want from telecom companies. They just outsourced the dumb pipe part to Ericsson. They want to be the service provider selling service and apps to customers. That is more lucrative. Ericsson evidently wants to be the commodity provider. They have contracts all over the world to provide network mgt to service providers.
