I will encourage any curious USA WISPs with 60-90Ghz PtP beam crossing a fireworks zone to check if throughput is affected at all - please saturate the link during the event as BER increase (if any) will be miniscule. :)

I wrote this jokingly back in 2006 (»Fireworks affects my wireless link !!! ) but there have been more such incidents. While I can understand infrared emissions from fireworks, it is difficult to think of any physical mechanism to produce millimeter-wave components.
