I want to make sure that the client I choose can make use of all 8 cores of my new computer. Any guidance? |

More likely the OS. Linux SMP handles multi-cores the best, or so the points seem to say.
Foldinator Project has done Quad-core, but not i7 yet.
parkut has ran i7 for a bit.
Not sure what I would do with an i7? Some day I hope to be faced with that possibility!
I would want to run virtual machines with Xen. ( »Xen vs. ESXi ) Maybe some cores could run SMP under LINUX.
It is great you want to use that power for FAH --
