I love the voice feature but wish there was a way to shorten the hold duration and/or put a shortcut on the phone to get to the voice command screen. Holding for 3 seconds feels like an eternity.
it would be good if you could change the double tapping of the home button to activate this instead of going to the ipod feature

You can't change it in the settings menu? I know on my iPhone 3G I can choose what happens when I double tap the Home button.
