<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1528515"><b>Bytebender</b></A> : your PC has to be within the same IP address range as the target router to access it from the LAN side.<br>one way is to connect your PC directly to the 6100 and give the PC a static IP in the 192.168.2-254 range, (with a default gateway of 192.168.1.1 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0).<br><small>--<br>reboot, reset, reconfigure, then recycle.</small>]]></description>

<title>Modem/router - New router = No Access to Modem</title>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1654462"><b>Lmvine</b></A> : Using a 6100 modem in bridge mode & changed from a Netgear router to a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54.  It works fine but can't log into modem to get stats.  The Buffalo uses &raquo;<A HREF="http://192.168.11.1/" >192.168.11.1/</A> but can't get to modem stats or ability to change anything on modem.<br><br>Modem access &raquo;<A HREF="http://192.168.1.1" >192.168.1.1</A> which worked previously with the Netgear now reports "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".  <br><br>I've tried other URLs for the modem but to no avail.<br><br>How do I get modem access?? ]]></description>
