Any resolution?

I suspect the issue is not ducting.
Agreed. From what I have read, They only way ducting affects your clients is when another source or frequency is carried into your area that normally isn't there, and that source is interfering with your radios on the same channel etc.

Again, From what I have read, ducting usually occurs during periods of heavy air pressure, humidity and temperature swings and is worse in areas with large amounts of water. On average, These situations also only happen in the early AM and late PM and do not continue to happen on an all day basis. Since you mentioned that you have tried many different types of radio OEM's, I can only assume (I hate that word, LOL) that you have tried to connect this client during different times of the day on several different days and this was not a deal where you tried 10 radios all in a row within a 1 hour period?

In the past, I have also ran into situations where no matter what I did, or how I did it, the client radio refused to work, even though another customer less than say 200ft away was connected and working perfectly? I have no idea why this "Black Hole" thing exists, but obviously it does, as it has happened to more than 1 of us here.

Have you tried to switch the polarity of the CPE? I once had a customer who would not connect to the tower on H polarity with anything usable (The AP was using an H polarity sector), but when I switched the CPE to vertical, it began to pass packets and function. By doing this, I could actually get a stable enough link to keep the customer online.

superdog you are catching on

I would like to add to the post an idea. I had the prem tech out on a trbl earlier this week where the cust was having odd signal issues. Jitter was all spiked and then it was not, rsl was good. I had the tech try moving up the roof ten feet (cpe was at gutter level, he said the tower was completely visible) and still nothing. For grins i had him set up on the lawn. Wouldnt you know, everything got better! I am thinking it is either odd/even fresnel issues or some type of off-axis interference from an adjacent wisp. I had him change the mount location to along the side of the prem and we are golden.
