| [XP] Wireless router question I have a WRT54G V5 that handles our network, I also have a Trendnet TEW-432BRP »www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a···33156038 laying around the house. Can I use the extra router as a wireless ap/bridge for my xbox 360? Since routers don't need drivers could this be possible? Would I still need to run a cable from my linksys to the new router and bridge the connection? I'm trying to eliminate the long wire from my linksys to my 360 without buying a wireless adapter first.

1 edit | Re: [XP] Wireless router question While a very few wireless routers CAN act as a Wireless Bridge, the TEW-432BRP does not appear to one of them.
I read the User Guide, and used the Emulator, and neither leads me to any hope for the TEW-432BRP as a Bridge.
(You could use the TEW-432BRP as your router, add DD-WRT to the WRT54G V5 and then use it as a Bridge, but I do not recommend it)

set the linksys lan ip to my trendnet's ip? they both share the same ssid, and wep key. I got the internet to work with the linksys on my wife's machine, but when I get it to the 360 it says that it can't resolve the dns. It finds the network, but won't connect to xbox live. | |

Put the Linksys router's LAN IP address outside the TrendNet's DHCP server range.
Example:
TrendNet's LAN IP: 192.168.10.1 DHCP server range is 192.168.10.100 to 192.168.10.150
Linksys would be 192.168.10.2
