Re: cell phone battery

All of the suggestions are good.

In addition, the U.S. Postal Service has "Mail it Back" bags for recycling used small electronics.

Just pop them in the bag, seal it and drop in any mail box.

It's FREE.

Radio Shacks in this area have battery recycle bins. Home Depot may also have one for old tool batteries but I'll bet you could drop yours in.
Those plus OfficeMax, Office Depot and Staples are a couple of others that come to mind.

Honestly not sure about electronics places, but I know in many states auto stores are REQUIRED to take back used oil, batteries, etc.

But again if your town does recycling (I would hope near all do now) just check with them.

Many cities recycle batteries, if your does, then do it that way.

The usual way is they go in a baggiie in the other recycling. (And all your other worn out recharge, alkaline and normal batteries too.)

You just made me look..... while I use mostly recharge batteries, I now have a lage baggie with about 10 lbs of batteries in it, since last dump likely not much more than 6 mo. Hate to think what family of several kids and their toys generate.
