USA | Paint Mastic Tape I know it isn't standard, but I was wondering if mastic is paintable? (this is the hand moldable stuff)
Is mastic naturally UV resistant or does it need the electrical tape over it to make it so. | |

united state | yes, its paintable, and no, other than birds you dont need to tape it, it stays pliable forever. We use andrews brand, expensive, but well worth it. But tape it if you have birds, lil bastards | |

| Re: Paint Mastic Tape I don't think colored e-tape is UV resistant. I did some colored marking back in 2006 and the colors have completely faded.
Again, I can you tell from experience the vapor sealant will start to weather after a few years. I've seen some stuff that was around maybe 15 years old and it was bad. | |

00000 | There is some sort of colored electrical tape that is UV resistant. I have seen it used at many cell cites to color code coax. I don't know who made it or where to get it. | |

I don't know who made it or where to get it. 3M makes colored tape. It is used for marking purposes only. It is like 1/2 inch wide. I use it all the time.

I met some painters once, they were touching up a hot am tower (powered off of course). They are insane.
