I'm paying for 20/5 and i'm getting 25/15-20 so i'm guessing they got rid of the 20/5 tier altogether? Can somebody else confirm this? |

We've seen no one, till you, claim that they were seeing any "fluff" on an old speed. Other than a few misprovisions in the past, the only people seeing "fluff" on their connection were those who ordered the new tiers (15/5, 25/15, and 35/20 in NY). |

Strange you say your getting 4700KB/sec it should be a lot more then that.
Try a different speed test and post the results please from the following: »myspeed.visualware.com/servers/hpn.html »ndt.anl.gov/
And my favorite to get REAL top speeds, with a little error involved: »www.myconnectiontest.net/captest/try.html |

Well I got my service installed last month and on the bill it says i'm paying for 20/5 but ever since earlier this week i've been getting these speeds consistently

1 edit | reply to dumbfound Just had it installed this Sat. Signed up for 25/15, but I'm getting 25/25. The test below isn't one of the best, considering what time I took it:

Took some time to get things stable, though, because of the optimizations I did with my previous RoadRunner connection. The short of what I had to do was to change all TCP settings to their defaults, and set the MTU and RWIN values to blank. Restarted the PC and everything has been stable and super fast.
I'm also NOT using the Actiontec router they provided. My Cisco PIX handles this speed beautifully... so far . CPU on the PIX does go up to 50 when I push 20 Meg. 52-54% at 25 Meg. -- "Change is inevitable...ADAPT!" - JRBlood RaveTrax - It's not just music, it's a way of life! |

| reply to dumbfound On the 25/15 plan here and seeing exactly that. When I first ordered, I was seeing 25/25. My IP changed after a power loss and the geolocation for it is now in Delaware vs. Lansdale, PA. Coincidence?

| reply to Ryle said by Ryle :why cant 20/5 tier get fluff speeds >_> It appears the fluff is reserved for upgrades after 6/22, and the 20/5 tier is now a legacy tier. May be a reason you want to bump up or over from 20/5.
For many, the fluff means a larger monthly bill. I'm sticking with 20/5 for right now. |

| Not bad, but I think you are probably getting better than 21.65/19.77. Have you tried the visualware speed test here? -- He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have. -Socrates |
