I'm new to VoIP and trying to learn as much as I can before I go ahead and switch from the overpriced landline.
I realize you need a ATA device to connect to a VoIP provider, but I'm wondering if I buy and use my own ATA device can I use this ATA device with services like VoicePulse and VOIPo? Or can I ONLY use the ATA phone devices they provide?
Thanks. It varies, a lot.
VOIPo does not allow you to bring your own devices anymore. At least that's what they tell us. Not sure about VoicePulse.
Other providers like future-nine or callcentric do allow you to use your own adapter.
And the third type - there are a couple providers who will allow you to use your own adapter but lock you out of it. Teleblend and phonepower are the two I can remember. |
