| Close up shots Hello. I recently bought a Nikon D60. My sil had one and I loved the photographs it took. I also just purchased the 55-200mm VR lens. I have not received it as of yet. She had mentioned to me that a "macro" lens was best for close up shots. Most of my close up shots would be of my children. Anyone else have an opinion on this? If "macro" is correct, can you link me to the best option for that? | |

| Macro is most certainly NOT for portraits. Whoever told you that needs to go back to photography school hehehe. (They either don't know what they're doing, or are confusing the term Macro for something else.)
A wide-angle lens, perhaps. I've actually done some awesome creative shots of kids with a wide angle. But I don't even know how someone would use a real macro lens for it. | |
