Does anyone know what size screws should be used to wall mount the Arris eMTA that comcast gives out? Or is there a wall mounting template out there? thanks! |

| I use a #8 screw with a 1/4 hex head...or the screws that come with a splitter... or the screws that come with flex clips (a tight fit tho.)
If I recall, there is a template that comes with the Arris instruction manual, but the template is wrong.
I've seen techs just use a piece of paper, lay it over the back and punch holes where the screws go.
I use a $1 level that I've marked. -- ******* Disclaimer: I am a Comcast employee. Any statements are my own and should not be construed as official Comcast communications. |

| cool, thanks. already wall mounted the modem and have a backup UPS (yes i am aware the eMTA has a battery but this is a network swtiched UPS so I can reset outlets from anywhere if I need to) right there with outlets within 2 ft of where the eMTA is going, also have two phone line jacks ready to connect up to right there also... so 90% of the install is already done by me... just needs the eMTA put up and connected to the jacks I alraedy installed |

| reply to koshoka To wall mount an APC UPS I just used a piece of paper and poked holes in where I felt the UPS mounting holes. Then I used a sharpie and made marks on the plywood at the wall, put in wood screws and popped the UPS on there. This was for something totally unrelated however, but yeah it's pretty simple to make your own template. Just have an assortment of wood screws ready to go that are self tapping.
For my CDV install way way back, I ran the phone outlet with extra Cat5e, only using the blue and green pairs of course, but it was all ready to go. I like doing that stuff, and I'll do what I can to make the job easier. Heck I even offer them a drink, but they always seem to refuse. |

| reply to neufuse Try this one »www.arrisi.com/support/guides/_d···ount.pdf or this one »www.arrisi.com/support/guides/_d···ount.pdf. The holes are approximately 4 inches from each other. |
