1 edit | Try typing 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.1.1 into your browser's address bar. See if you get a login screen. -- Got a Clark,Crown,Drexel forklift and need technical advice? Ask me about it. |

| OK,you can access the modem at »192.168.1.1 .
The Netopia Cayman modems DHCP server will need to be set to an IP range, where it allow Static IP address to be use. The default range of the DHCP server,in your modem is 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254 . This setting doesn't allow Static IP addresses to be used, and causes IP address conflicts. Set the DHCP server,in the modem,to a smaller range. Like 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.150. Save settings
Now,what you need to do is setup the Buffalo router,as I discribed earlier in this thread,as an Access Point. Change the Buffalo's LAN IP address to 192.168.1.2,Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 ,and the Gateway IP to 192.168.1.1 . Save settings
Also, remember to change the DHCP type to DHCP Forwarder and set the DHCP Server's IP address to 192.168.1.1. Save settings -- Got a Clark,Crown,Drexel forklift and need technical advice? Ask me about it. |

@centurytel.net | reply to Mountaineer1 Mountaineer1, How do I access the Cayman modem. If I do the standard 192.168.1.1 I go to Centurytel's page about internet info, Not really the DSL Modem itself. How do I access it??. Thanks Dave |

| You would access the it buy entering the IP address you assigned the AP. So there the scenario,Modem is 192.168.1.1,and AP is 192.168.1.2.
You would enter the appropriate IP address for each unit,to access it. -- Got a Clark,Crown,Drexel forklift and need technical advice? Ask me about it. |
