Re: New HD Channels - Pixalation / Unavailable in New York

Thanks for the replies. I just reset the ONT box and that fixed it. I think I may eventually need a new ONT box, but it's fine for now. It is the 612, but maybe they don't last long. I've had Vz for just under 2 years.

Have a tech come out? I know that if this were happening on stations I wanted to watch regularly that's what I'd do...

Lost Comedy Central HD and Nick HD again. Still have the other 4 new channels however. This doesn't end. Anyone else having this problem again?

Glad to help. Again what are the differences between the 611 and 612 though?

Well thanks to some stuff I found on Google related to the SNR strength...I finally realized my problem. Since I have a TiVo HD DVR I have always had the issues where I needed Attenuators to help my incoming signals. When checking my SNR for the new channels the strength was somewhere in the 26 dB range as opposed to all my other HD channels which were in the 29-32dB range. So when looking at the attenuators attached I noticed I had an extra 3dB on there, and removing it did the trick...I also verified that it didn't result in my other channels getting hosed either. Or at least so far. If for some reason though my other channels are getting hosed as time goes on then maybe the new 612 ONT will do the trick to at least boost the signal coming on for the four channels which were causing my issues to something similar to all other channels. Either way thanks to the insight of each of you on here as it helped me trouble shoot my issue without having to deal with the techs or lengthy phone conversations.

Is the 612 ONT the latest model? What's the difference between the 611 and 612?

Frank, Glad to here your problem has finally been resolved.
Believe it or not mine has been resolved as well. I have no idea how. Last night, I was on the phone with someone from tech support. Didn't sound like she knew what she was doing. I spent an hour on the phone with her. All she did was do everything which was already done about 10 times. Reset the STB's, reset the ONT. Didn't make a difference last night. Woke up this morning and all is well. Now we're all set for when they get MSG HD!

OK Guys here is the answer. The tech just left, he had to swap out my 611 ONT with a 612 and everything is now fine. Guy was very helpful, Answered all questions. He first tested my coax, then swapped out the ONT.

All is good! I knew it wasn't the wiring............

Sounds like it's got to be the ONT.
Who sent the tech out, Gustavo or the techs at the 800 number?

The SNR for the four channels is poor. They are claiming it is the coax or the ONT itself. They are sending a tech out Saturday morning.

I think it is the ONT since both of my boxes have the problem and both boxes are on seperate runs back to the ONT.

I will let you guys know what happens.

I noticed that too. He may have responded to mine prior to yours which would explain the differences.

I think we are out of the same VHO, I don't know why his answer to both of us were a little different?
