Re: Cablevision has STARZ HD West!

Is it really necessary for Verizon to carry it for "bragging rights". The channel is just a 3 hour time delay of the East feed, shows all the same movies.

Exactly, it's not like it's a totally different channel.

Every week or so this thread is started and somebody says "it is just delayed 3 hours."

I'll give the same broken record response I always do....

1- It is an annoyance that we have EVERY OTHER PREMIUM except that one. It just doesn't make sense that we don't have it. They have the rights to carry it.

2- I largely use the premiums as "flip and watch," meaning, if I am in the mood to watch a hidden gem, I flip through the premiums and find undiscovered movies that I never knew about. Things I wouldn't buy on DVD or Bluray, often things I have never heard of. If I am flipping, 50 choices are better than 49 choices. It doesn't matter if it is 3 hours behind. When I sit down at 5:47PM I am watching what is currently on. Yes, if I am planning my recordings it isn't a big deal, but if I am just flipping, it is a big deal. Again, bandwidth is NOT an issue.

Why do you even care if other people want it? Why not just say "the more HD the better!"?
