Re: Having port forwarding problems on my laptop

Are you trying to forward different ports?

That is, you can't forward the same ports for the same applications to two different PCs.

No mate, all the ports r different. I'm not using the same ports.

In uTorrent when I open uTorrents "speed guide" and I click on "test if port is forwarded properly" it says:

OK!

Port ***** is open and accepting connections.

You will be able to receive incoming BitTorrent connections.

But I don't get the "green check" in uTorrent that I get on my desktop, I get a yellow "triangle" instead which indicates that there is a portforwading problem.

Try this...

Port forward to your PC IP name and open the ports you need for UT.

Now enable UPnP on the UT software.

Try that.. If you still have issues then disable UPnP on the router and on the UT software.

I don't use UT software I use AZ older version. Found on Old apps.

Make sure you use ports that match your software and router. Can be anything you want TCP 98888 UDP 99888.

My uTorrent is working fine now, but I still cant connect to DC++. It only seems to work in the "passive" mode. If anyone can help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I dont know if this is gonna help or not, but I went to www.canyouseeme.org to check if my ports were open or not. When I put in my port number for uTorrent, I get:

Success: I can see your service on port (*****)
Your ISP is not blocking port *****

But for my DC++ port I get:

Error: I could not see your service on port (*****)
Reason: Connection timed out
