Topped out at 105 degrees Fahrenheit. It's 100 in the shade, at the moment. Saw Ice Age 3 in digital 3D. Super cool! |

1 edit | It got to 100 here in Redwood Valley, though it's cooled to 88 at 7:20 PM, it'll cool down into the low 50's tonight with that moist, cool onshore flow. I tell you what though, I'm TIRED of this heat during the day, I want it to go back to normal (upper 80's to around 90 for us this time of year)! -- You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything. |

1 edit | reply to dadkins said by dadkins :Got a breeze today... for a change! Yeah, it was nice! It peaked at 98 at our place around 2 PM, then the wind came up and the temp dropped to 96, then 94, then 88, then 80, now it's 68, just right! Our nightly onshore flow kicked really early today, and it looks like the rest of the week should be a lot cooler with more normal temps. -- You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything. |

The new high SEER ones are required these days and more expensive but it will save lots of $$ on the electric bill though. |

1 edit | We still have more headed our way... The central unit makes short work out of pulling the entire house down and turns off.
33 years of burning up during the Summer... well, it stops here and now!
Outside pump/condenser is 35"x35"x32" tall - lots of coil area. Quiet too! -- Think outside the Fox... Opera |

1 edit | I have a 2.5 ton (brand that no service guys ever heard of.) I can't even remember the name - it's adequate, and still kickin' (thank goodness) - but I know it's just a matter of time
Never use the heat, just break out my NY toe socks But the air is necessary almost 9 months out of the year
My unit has to be at least 20 years or older. And things don't last as long here in the elements, Ive found
I like the way they set yours up. Is the condensation pan in the attic..or where? -- ~Safe Hex~ Team Discovery ~ Project Hope ~ Like A Hurricane~ |

1 edit | reply to dadkins Congrats on the new AC Dadkins, I know you will enjoy it! Man, and to think we went 20 years in the Riverside and West Covina areas in SoCal without Central Air (we had a couple of window units, but that was it), it sure makes a difference here in the summer!! It was actually nice here today, it got to 88, which is right on the mark for us for normal temps this time of year. -- You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything. |
