| [Tomato] Suggestions for setting up Wake on Lan I have a pair of WRT54GLs with the latest Tomato firmware installed. One of them acts as an Access Point (connected to the modem) - while the other acts as a Wireless Ethernet Bridge.
What I'm trying to do is set up WoL on a PC hard-wired onto that bridge. And I'm trying to this via WAN/Internet.
I have tried numerous guides for setting up WoL, but haven't gotten it to work as advertised - usually only being able to wake the box up within minutes of it going to sleep (not more).
Is what I'm trying to do even possible? Is WoL only possible for those hardwired into the access point?
And yes, my hardware/bios is WoL ready. | |

Does the fact that I'm on a wireless bridge change any of said settings?
More importantly - is my assumption right - that all of these changes happen at the access point, and that the bridge's settings are untouched? | |

| As of now, I've done everything suggested in the link provided. I've setup the script, configured targeted PC to have a static IP (that's initiated in the script), and have also opened ports for UDP access. This was all done on the Access Point (I haven't changed any settings on the bridge).
Once asleep, the PC's MAC address and IP remains in the WOL table with "-" as its status.
I can successfully wake it up from this screen - however when I try to do it through the internet, specifically through Depicus I'm having no success whatsoever.
I've created a dyndns host as to keep my IP address updated (and I've verified it as well). | |

That thread discusses WoL setup on DD-WRT, but I can't imagine it is all that different on Tomato. | |
