The new 15/5 plan is 44.99 with a new yearly contract.
No change over fees.

I think the above pricing is already discounted $5 because I also have FiOS phone service.

Whats wierd is how not everyone is getting the same deals, ny gets better deals but why, some areas you can only choose time warner, so its not like they are fighting off 4 companies, satelite is a threat to the entire USA. I would think they would agressivly give every state they are in the same great deals.

But im not going to complain at the moment, for 10 bucks more a month, i called in and 5 bucks off, so for only 10 bucks more instead of 15 i get 35/20 and the upload isnt 20 but 30 so how can i complain.

You have two issues, you two year price is coming to an end, that's 15 dollar increase, no price last forever and they keep giving more HD channels so its not unexpected ... just look at what Bright house offers, 35 compressed HD channels vs FIOS 100+ uncompressed ... forget ever looking at internet for comparison ... Bright house is stuck in the 90's

Its 10 bucks to get 5X more upload , maybe not worth it to you but hardly could be considered getting hosed

I can see your point. In my case, I work from home and access my remote desktop over my connection. The fast speeds are perfect for my needs. I'm probably not using the full bandwidth even then but the fast down and up speeds certainly means I don't have any bottlenecks at my end.

Just so everyone understands(based on the results of some of the test results I think its clear)

if you got the 25/15 you could get results up to 25/25

if you got 35/20 you could get results up to 35/35

If you got 15/5 you could get results up to 25/25 (not a typo)

If you are getting anything greater it could be because of the test server or by mistake you were provisioned on the 50/20 tier. I believe the latter being the main problem. :-)

Have fun everyone with your new speeds and if you didn't get it this round hopefully the next one in August will be better :-)

I corrected the post to 15/5. I just have basic TV with no HD/Premiums and regular phone and internet.

I was told the price would remain the same 99 a month...same as the triple freedom I had before.

Also it seems to be provisioned and I am getting 25/17 or so as the speed. I have verified I ordered 15/5 and it does say that in the e-mail so I am happy.

Now my order shows up on the order status and hopefully I will have my new speeds sometime today.

Heh like this guy I got 2 order confirmations actually. One done at 4PM yesterday which I didn't know if it went through and then one at 10PM.
I try to check at »www.verizon.com/orderstatus without logging in as well as myverizon.com and clicking recent orders and nothing shows up on either.

Guess I will have to call this morning because it appears online ordering is broken or something even though it gives you order confirmation.

What's the deal with online ordering and the status on the myverizon.com site? I am in Florida and already have the triple play with 10/2 internet. I changed my internet to 15/5 today at around 4 or 5PM and I did receive a confirmation number after going through all the screens.

I check the myverizon.com site to see my order status and it says there are no pending orders and it can take 24 hours to post on there. I also got no confirmation e-mails.

Has anyone else ordered online and how long did it take for the order status to post? I am just curious if I should reorder tomorrow if it is not there and the website is less busy.

So this is different than what I was told. I was told that by upgrading, I would lose my free DVR promotion. If this is not the case, based on your findings, my upgrade deal is even better. $90 per month for Triple Freedom with phone, 35/20 Internet, Extreme HD TV plus HBO, Cinemax & Movies plus 11.98 for 2 HD STBs. That's 101.98 plus fees & taxes. That saves me over $40 per month if I still get my dvr free.

Chat says none of your current promos are effected , called the Elite group and explained were getting different answers so they called the person that did the training for the new bundles. This time, the answer came back that yes, no changes will happen to current discounts, cash card, monthly $$ off ect.

I called up Verizon to see about upgrading my 20/5 to 20/20 here in Florida. I figured what the heck, it's worth a shot, I prefer 20/20 to 25/15 any day. I'm making small talk with the CSR about how busy they must be with the new promotions. CSR comments that yeah, it's been crazy with the new netbook promotion. I say yeah I bet, but is that netbook only for new customers, or does it apply to renewals/upgrades with a contract extension also? CSR says to hold on, checking with a supervisor. CSR comes back and says "Sure, we'll throw in the netbook with the 20/20 internet [$10 more monthly), it'll put you under contract for the next year." I say "Sure, that sounds awesome."

So in the end for $10 a month more I got myself 20/20 and a netbook. Not bad. I have crazy luck with customer service.

Looks like the changed the bundles from last night. Earlier at 129.99 it included all the movie channels. Apparently Florida ended up not getting a good deal like originally mentioned by one of the VZ reps since it now jumps from 139.99 for all channels to 159.99.

After leaving the PC to have dinner, I came back and was able to access the FiOS bundle tab on MyVerizon, once again.

Above are the bundle offerings in Flori-duh. If I went with the first option, I would gain internet speed, but lose HD channels currently available with the now discontinued Premier TV package. The second option would gain internet speed (currently 10/2) and give me a few more HD channels, but they are ones that I wouldn't watch anyway and my monthly price would go up by $25. The third option adds the Showtime channels which I do not currently have and am not interested in.

Not true. The page is not incomplete. I got the same thing. Phone is listed as free with this new bundle. My existing phone service will not change. This package is discounted almost $68 to bring it to $90. I verified with 3 online chats and 2 reps on the phone. I think it has to due with how my original bundle was put together. My order went through and I have a printed confirmation with confirmation number. When checking for status, I am at 70% complete with full activation due tomorrow.

My monthly total for service FiOS Triple Freedom with phone, 35/20 internet and Extreme HD plus HBO, Cinemax and movies is now $90. In addition, I have to pay 19.99 for multi room HD dvr, 11.98 for 2 HD stbs and fees/taxes. In the end I save about $20 per month.

The page you pulled up is incomplete. Even though you have the Phone checked on the top line, it did not make it down to the bundle choices. I saw that same thing yesterday when I was going back and forth with checking bundles. If you tried to order, you'll see the phone portion is not populated.

Trying to place the order will end up either nowhere (incomplete, not fulfilled) or placed with items or prices you weren't aware you'd be billed for.

Personally, I would try again. If it doesn't look right, you'll end up in BillingHell(tm).

Bundle pricing varies by market and starts at $99.99 for triple bundles and $79.99 for double bundles. Both double and triple bundles require a one-year service agreement; however, customers will receive a two-year price guarantee.

That rep is wrong. I confirmed via 3 chats and 2 call reps that you lose any promotional items you previously had. For example, I had a free HD MR DVR for 1 year. I lost that when I upgraded, but my overall plan came out cheaper.

To verify your speed (against the tier you're signed up for) you should always test with a wired connection. Any speed loss due to wireless has nothing to do with how you're provisioned.

Agreed, but the theory that it's a temporary 25/25 until August when it's made official makes sense. Way earlier in the thread, 25/25 was mentioned and it just doesn't make sense to have a 25/15 and a 25/25 coexist.

I upgraded online yesterday to 35/20 for my residential account. As others have stated before activation is not until tomorrow so we will see then :)

Any speed upgrade is a package change, there is no internet only upgrade for dual or Triple play customers. So you will lose any deals the old package has ( but your gaining what ever the new package offers )

If you are a residential customer it will take "up to" 24hrs to be changed to new 25/15 package

Looks to me like you are still on old 20/20 package, I was seeing average 19 down and 18 up on old 20/20 package

I called in to the Elite group to get some straight answers for current triple play subscribers looking to upgrade. This is a small group that goes after people that sign up and then cancel a triple play install, they have the ability to give extra discounts and they know the all the options and have the authority to give out any deals possible. These reps are VERY knowledgeable ... much better that the standard reps you get calling the FIOS 800 number.

SO the important info:

Any discounts one is getting, being pending gift cards, $30 for 6 months, $ 5 dollar off per month or DVR's for 12 months free will all be forfeited on doing a change to a new package. The 30 dollar movie package would be "grandfathered" in though vs. the new price of 35.00

While I have no issues with spending 10 dollars more to go from 109.99 -> 119.99 to get the new 25/15 fluff tier which really looks like a way to get 25/25 bundled, its not worth giving up hundreds in incentives I was given to go triple play last month. The representative suggest I wait till all the freebies have run there course and then make a change at that time.

So if you have ANY deal beyond what the package your upgrading offers, keep in mind those incentives will be lost if you make a package change.

I just called. I currently have 10/2 in the triple play, which has a base price of $95 (yet my bill is almost $180 with boxes, dvr, and the movie package).

I called to ask to upgrade from 10/2 to 15/5, they said 15/5 didn't include the extremehd package like the 10/2 and I'd lose channels.

The 25/15 does include extremehd so I could've upgraded my package but from a base fee of $95 to $119.

I said no thanks...

I have the Triple Freedom Plan on LI too. I went to My Verizon and still see 25/15 and 35/20 for the same price....$12/mo more than I'm paying now. Did you see the same thing on your account...the two different speed tiers at the same price?

But what's not clear to me is if I upgrade to either of those packages, what happens to my 1 year contract and 2 year price guarantee? I've only had service for 2 months. Maybe I'll try an online chat and see if that sheds any light.

I think the new 25/15 and 35/20 are really soft launches for what is to be 25/25 and 35/35 in August. Makes sense that Verizon does it this way to gauge the network effects of going symmetric in August.

As a FiOS Internet and wireless-only customer living in upstate NY I just called about going from 20/5 to 25/15.

The rep, after putting me on hold for about 5 minutes to presumably ask mgmt about this new package, told me the upgrade was not available to me unless I had phone service bundled at a minimum.

How do you figure the price is $10 cheaper? I'm paying $94.99 for my triple play (10/2 internet & Premier TV). The new "Better" bundle is $119.99 (25/15 internet & Extreme HD TV). That's $25 more!

With the mandatory switch to digital TV last week, our rabbit ears couldn't get enough signal to be useable. So I went to Radio Shack, bought a giant long-distance outdoor antenna and layed it up in the attic. Now we get about 30 channels crystal clear, which is more than we need, so (speaking only for my own household) we couldn't care less about bundles. All of our TV channels are 100% free. :)

All we want is a fast internet connection at a good price.

I rarely upload at the 2.3mb/s So I think I'm going to switch to the 25/15 (especially, if I can get a netbook for free or $99..I've been wanting one for a while anyway, and I don't need the VZ Wireless one (I don't need to pay an extra $60 a month for that)...

The 20/20 symmetric package has been DOWNGRADED on upstream speed (from 20, down to 15). Personally, I would take 20/20 over 25/15.

Seems to me like this is a big step backwards for VZ.

This is just for the NYC and NJ market right? I have been reading these posts and everything appears to be just for that one market and not all FiOS customers. I am in Tampa Florida and am sorta curious if my 10/2 would be 15/5 or whatever.

170 a month, jesus christ thats pricey, in my services i see the option to add 35/20 as an option for 13 bucks more but i will wait till tomorow to ask them since both 25/15 and 35/20 both are priced the same, if i can get 35/20 for the price of 25/15 then ill switch
