Im currently at 129.99 for the best bundle. So for $5/more a month I wil get 15Mbps faster downloads. I will call tomorrow! |

| reply to The Folsom So the premium tier subscribers get "the shaft"..
Disappointed..
Before, it was a $65 premium (loss of bundle discounts + higher priced tier) to go from 20/20, to 50/20.. (Here in Downstate NY)
..A respectable 30mbps jump in DL speed; quite worth the extra $65 IMHO.
Now, "everyone's" gotten a speed bump, except the "premium" subs, and for the same continued extra $65 monthly, "we're" only a paltry 15mbps higher in downstream.
I'll still stay where I am, but, it just doesn't seem right to me.
I fear the above will make their top tier attractive to far fewer ppl than it was prior to this "upgrade".
Can't understand it.. It's NOT like the DON'T have the available bandwidth..
sigh.. |

1 edit | reply to The Folsom An interesting new option: 1-year or 6-month bundle. There is no difference between package prices 1-year or 6-month.
Not able to find a month-to-month bundle. The implication is that month-to-month pricing goes to full price for all services individually.
I think there was a month-to-month bundle previously. IIRC a triple play cost less than the sum of individual services. Then again, I haven't looked at the ordering system in a while, so this may be already in place and I just never knew it.
[edit to add]This is from the bundle offer available to me in RI. Other service areas may have different plans and terms. FWIW, If I took the current Good, not Better, I'd end up with cost $15 more per month and 5Mb down less. I was able to get TV, phone and 20/5 on a 2-year contract for $95 per (before the HD Extreme lineup). I'll continue until my contract expires in December. |

| reply to The Folsom I went online and ordered with no problem. I am existing customer and went with the 134.99 deal since i already have the 129 dollar bundle. For 5 dollars more i get 15mbs increase and 15 increase on the download as well. Not too shabby. Avtivation is set for this coming tuesday. They bill the 99 dollars net book fee to your phone bill. |

| reply to Chaser said by Chaser :Over here in Edmonds, WA, I'm currently subscribed to the Triple Play Plan for $99/month. My internet speed is 10/2. I called them and asked how much it would cost to get the upgrade to 15/5, and they said that it will cost an extra $10/month. I was so hoping that it was going to be for free, oh well. Eventually, I think the price will go back down to $99 for the cheapest bundle. When they increased the speeds last year, the $99 bundle was increased in price also. Eventually, it came back down to $99. I think $99/month is a sweet spot for a lot of people and hopefully it will make a come back. |

Visited the website -
Currently I have the triple with ALL premiums and 20/5 for $139.99
They only offer me two bundles online - the BEST is a triple with 25/15 but only Showtime for $129.99 - I don't even get an option to add the rest of the premiums, so i'll wait until tomorrow and call in.
To be honest, and i know i'll get flack, I'm seriously getting tired of this - "Let's give NY a special offer every damn time" - and don't give me the competition line - here in DE you can go with Comcast, FIOS, Dish or Direct -
Curse you NY! LOL. No wonder I hate the Mets! |

Cablevision has the triple play @ $30 per service ($90 total). And they give you the boost tier (30/5) free for a year. CV really has their stuff together and we have them to thank for keeping Verizon in check (imo). |

Earlier, same for me. Now TV/Internet bundles are available, but then again, I'm not looking at what is available for me as an existing customer. I'm looking at what's available for a new customer using and address down the street.
In RI:
Internet only, 1-year, month-to-month 15/5, $50, $60 25/15, $70, $78 50/20, $145, $165
Phone only Local only, $20 Local and long distance, $45 plus VM, CID, CW, $50
TV only Local only, $13 Essentials, $48 Extreme, $58
Phone, TV, Internet, see my screenshot above.
Phone, Internet
I think it's local phone only (Double Freedom) 15/5, $30 $80 25/15, $40 $90 [edited to reflect current, but changing plans online. system is still being updated]
TV, Internet 15/5 and Essentials, $85 25/15 and Extreme, $95
I'm good until December, then I get to figure out what I want to pay for. Local TV or no TV is definitely an option. His Majesty will lose Animal Planet unless he convinces me otherwise. |
