You need to setup some sort of LAMP server, if you want to use ubuntu, you can follow these steps :

otherwise, I prefer centos 5.3, and ISP config (nice little management utility, kind of like cPanel, but free).

clubs:		 The LAMP system has been in place for a few years was more concerned about the DNS and MX records and how I can make that work with the situation I have described.
Thanks for the link and the suggestion for ISP config, looks interesting.
