I can verify that the setup and the tethering connection works.
The only thing is that I don't live in a neighborhood that has good 3G reception and it seems you need to have a 3G signal for it to work. As it stands, through Bluetooth, both the computer and the iPhone will acknowledge the connection.
Can't wait to try this out somewhere with 3G. I'm only going to use it cautiously - don't want to get hit with AT&T's BS data charges. -- I am the Flying Photog, see my website accordingly named Flyingphotog.com. User known formerly as zakooldude. |

| FYI, all I had to do was install the updated .ipcc file, enable tethering on my iPhone and it worked. If any Windows users stumble across this thread, you need to open a command-prompt (in Administrator mode on Vista/7), navigate to the iTunes installation directory and issue the following command with iTunes closed:
itunes.exe /setprefint carrier-testing 1

1 edit | You copied and pasted that question from the posted thread (ok, one grammatical improvement). I don't necessarily think it's relevant, as others have been able to connect without this information. -- I am the Flying Photog, see my website accordingly named Flyingphotog.com. | reply to Ivan said by Ivan :What are the MMSC and Proxy settings for AT&T USA users? I didn't have to change those settings at all. I think they were set to wap.cingular or somethiing like that, with the rest of the fields blank. |

1 edit | reply to Ivan said by Ivan :What are the MMSC and Proxy settings for AT&T USA users? For MMS, they are as follows:
wap.cingular wap@cingulargprs.com CINGULAR1 mmsc.cingular.com 66.209.11.32
I've heard whether they work or not is hit and miss. I haven't tried them myself but may play with it later today. My girl would LOVE to have MMS again.
(EDIT)
Nope, those settings don't work for me. I guess I fall into the "miss" category. |
