Yeah, you guys do make some good points about it. Coming from playing all of the CoD games (except modern warfare), WaW really didn't do much for me, other than the graphics.
The multiplayer really was a bit too loose for me, though in hardcore mode it was a bit better. If they could have some maps where they were more sniper friendly (not so close quarters like all of the other previous versions) it would be a lot funner I believe.
For a realistic game, I am hoping that the new Delta Force that is going to be coming out rocks. The previous games (up until Joint Operations) really were great for realistic battles, as well as the terrain distance and trajectory was the best that I have seen in any first person shooter. |

i dont like any of the CoDs. 1 and 2 were OK for their time but DoD beta and 1.x were by far better WWII multiplayers. it had better gameplay, much better realism, huge competitive leagues, and a strong mod community. of course it kinda went to shit after Valve took over and they completely redisgned it to be more noob-friendly. i love what valve did with CS1 after acquiring it, but i cant stand what they made DoD1 into, especially 2.x. 1.x was still playable and very enjoyable, but 2.x barely even resembled what made it so good. DoD:S was an even bigger abomination, tho i did play it a fair amt. it was way too noob-friendly with the nade spam and running MG kills.
i like CoD5 decently enough to still play it now and then with friends on hardcore mode. i usually play servers with recon and dogs disabled, tho i dont mind dogs so much; it's mainly how ridiculous knowing where enemies are on a map.

WaW is, imo, the worst COD game in the entire series. I just can't get into it, AT ALL. I have absolutely no idea why they would base the game on the world war after going into the modern era. I love COD4 and I can play that all day.

I'm doing Fallout 3 right now. I had to start over...

While there aren't as many on the PC side, I always manage to find active servers. I rotate between several custom map servers, which are almost always at capacity.
Sure, not all of the custom maps are good, but the majority of them rock

WaW was addicting for a couple months. In the end, the developers made too many mistakes, and the game couldn't make the transition into the mod/mapping community, so it got boring.
And yes, many many people who I refer to as Nubs call TF2 their home. And as always, I'll let everyone know that Fortress Forever is where the real Team Fortress players reside.
And not that many people play L4D anymore. The community has shrunk quite a bit and there's a lot of less than stellar players plaguing the servers. |

i liked WaW Hardcore mode. it was decent but nothing special. i dont really play anymore b/c all my friends stopped. we mostly went back to TF2, but i dont game nearly as much as i used to when i was playing WaW. L4D and TF2 have had some recent updates, plus other games like Demigod that are taking up ppl's time |
