| reply to Dr Tone IR-655 Firmware Release Notes =========================================
Firmware: 1.32 (Beta 01)
1. Fix potential security leak with CAPTCHA. 2. Fix USB LED issue aboutShareport. 3. Update chklst.txt 4. Fix SharePort issue
No mention of fixes relating to items we have been discussing here that would lead me to believe it is a viable update?
Thoughts? |

@enmaxenvision.net | Yah no mention of fixing the not saving of changes.
None of my changes are taking effect 1.31, it just won't save anymore. Pissing me off. |

| reply to Dr Tone Even if using 1.31, it wipes your settings. Just a fair warning :)
Old chklst.txt...
New:
Differences: IEEE802 11H Support is gone, HW version is now listed, and ipVersion is newer.

| reply to Tsume 802.11H from Wiki -
IEEE 802.11h-2003, or just 802.11h, refers to the amendment added to the IEEE 802.11 standard for Spectrum and Transmit Power Management Extensions. It solves problems like interference with satellites and radar using the same 5 GHz frequency band. It was originally designed to address European regulations but is now applicable in many other countries. The standard provides Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) and Transmit Power Control (TPC) to the 802.11a MAC. It has been integrated into the full IEEE 802.11-2007 standard.
Since it deals with Europe, they may have pulled it for the US hence the NA extension for North America |

3 edits | reply to Dr Tone One strange thing I've found so far is the login doesn't seem to timeout anymore. That is, every time I go back to the router pages say hours later, my login is still good.
Also, over a day now and no "Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3)" to my DNS servers like 1.31 did often. |

| reply to Dr Tone I fired up the old 624 rev. c and it's been up and doing it's thing for 72 hours now. I cannot believe that the 624 is now the stable one. My shiny new (ok, year old) 655 a2 needs a reset almost daily. Miss the N speed, but the remaining connected and actually transferring files things is really neat; almost forgot about that. |
