What that means is that it available from the manufacturer as an extra cost option. There are a number of available options that VZ did not select:
•Wireless N

Zero change, loading up Steam Server Browser still froze the router (made it run out of memory) after ~12k servers. | |

| Where did you find firmware release 20.9.0? I just got my router two days ago and it came with 20.8.0. When I do a "Check for Updates", it tells me that "Upgrade file not found". Here is the upgrade URL that my Actiontec is set to:

I was on the phone with Verizon Technical Support to get my WAN Port re-enabled and had to do a Hard reset of my Actiontec Router (Rev E 20.8.0). When it came back online I noticed that it had been upgraded to 20.9.0. I'm not certain if Verizon sent the update out or if it happened as part of the hard reset. | |
