Comcast developed this technology for their network and put a patent on it. Which gives them the right license it. Do they charge other cable companies? probably not. |

| I don't believe so. My understanding is that DOCSIS provides the ability to dynamically uncap/burst connections. I believe "PowerBoost" is Comcast's trademark name, hence the licensing.
