Hi there:

Do you have a link to that WHS add-on?

Thanks.

Here are the two references (links updates) I posted back last year sometime...

Look at the following FreeRADIUS version for WinXP. I have never used this server, so I cannot say if it is good or bad.

I am using WPA2 on the WAP54g i used the grc.com's password generated key
the WAP55ag only supports WEP or WPA- radius server
I am looking for a radius server that will work in windows

With a sufficiently long key, ie. a 63-character random ASCII key for example, you neighbors won't be able to access your network. That and just saying NO to their request for access should be enough IMHO...

...unless of course you simply want the exercise of setting up a RADIUS server.

FWIW there is a free add-on to the Windows Home Server [WHS] that adds that functionality. You also get the benifits of having a WHS on your network for automated daily backups of all of your Windows clients, etc.

I don't believe there's a Win32 version of FreeRADIUS, although they say it's on the roadmap. You could always try installing it in a cygwin environment, although I've never heard of this being done with FreeRADIUS. Cisco ACS or Juniper / Funk SBR are the other obvious options for Windows, although they come at a cost. If you have Server 2003 you can use IAS (in Server 2008 it's renamed to NPS).

Oh, wait - I guess you meant "free RADIUS" software as opposed to the software that's called "FreeRADIUS." My first recommendation would be to say run VMware Server or VMware Workstation on XP and run FreeRADIUS within Linux from there.

is there a free radius server that would work on windows Xp that would work with linksys wap54g and wap55g
preferably using Protected EAP(PEAP)
secured password(EAP-MSCHAP V2)
either with or without using certificate
WAP54G is using WPA2-PSk
WAP55AG the 802.11A part is using WEP and the g part is set to WPA radius so it cannot authenticate. I am using 802.11a side only. The reason for 802.11a that my neighbors sees the 802.11g and they want me to give them access to my network i just wanted to make it harder for them to get access
