1 edit | After First Night | After Second Night |
I have taken a few trips out to one of our remote office the past few nights to install some new equipment and cleanup the wiring. Here is how things are going.
The first night I installed some new network gear. A Cisco 2811, and two 2960 switches. Each switch has 8 PoE ports for when we get wireless APs, and convert from analog + gateway VoIP phones to pure IP phones. Turned out that the DS1 WIC in the 2811 was bad so I had to rig it up with the old Adtran router to get the 2811 online.
The second night I replaced the bad DS1 WIC with a new DS1 HWIC and was able to remove the Adtran from the setup. I also cleaned up the wires, and made the cables the correct length.
Still not totally done, but its a pretty good start. The maintenance guy put the bubble wrap on there because one of the employees kept smacking her head on the corner of the rack.
Next to get cleaned up will be that mess in the corner there. -- Open Source WAN Accelerator »trafficsqueezer.sourceforge.net/ |
