P-662HW VPN IP RANGE PROBLEM

Hi, i am writing from the other side of the wolrd(Greece)and i use to work in the US for many years. What i miss the most is the help i could always get from my colleges at work.

I am trying to setup a vpn tunnel. The settings are simple

on one side:
Subnet
Local IP: 16.190.144.0
255.255.255.0

Remote IP: 16.190.147.0
255.255.255.0

all the other settings are 100% correct and i will prove you why...

With these ip's the vpn tunnel does not work. If i change the ip settings to:

Local 192.168.1.0
255.255.255.0

remote 192.168.2.0
255.255.255.0

The vpn gets created immediately. All the other settings remain the same on both sides. This is driving me crazy.
I will use 10 zyxels and there is no way i will change all the ips in all the locations. There about 100 computers and servers involved.

Any ideas?
