| reply to FenixSucks Re: In conclusion, CALLER ID NAME is unavailable on TNID.org
said by FenixSucks : ... If members here were to contact you, would you provide the information no strings attached, or are you going to ask for personal information and/or $$$$ ? FenixSucks, you have have every right to post this question ... but I would advise topgun98 to withhold an answer (if he is wont to do so).
In the past, we suffered an embroglio when a poster challenged dogface05's right to charge for his "adapter unlocking" services. Insults were hurled between the "pro" and "con" camps ... and nothing was resolved ... but hurt feelings lingered.
topgun98 has been available and open to responding to questions concerning tnid.org functionality ... and he has accurately countered misstatements made by some.
Let's give him credit for a website that does afford us a free service when checking out the original and current controlling entities of any given DID. He has every right to ask for compensation for certain advanced requests, if that is his desire ... and, if we want the additional info, we must pay the piper. As one of my dear friends who flunked high school Spanish I twice likes to say: "Commercio es commercio." ("Business is business.") There is no hidden agenda in topgun98's responses. |

| said by FenixSucks :Yes, but this is not an solicitation for business board. I agree ... with reservations. Yes, the BBR Forums prohibit blatant shilling and advertising and marketing. However, the Moderators seem to permit a bit of commercialism from time to time such as when RockyBB tastefully offers a recommendation to those looking for Business VoIP services (asking that he be sent a PM) - or - DogFace05 indicates his willingness to help unlock an ATA device for a fee (asking that he be sent a PM) -or - one of the top level VoIP execs reveals a new feature or pricing structure (which can be construed as seeking more business).
I, for one, have not seen flagrant commercialism on the part of the tnid guy. Rather, it has been some of the responding posters who have "bashed" the tnid website (not topgun98's Forum posts) for its links to "fee for search" options.
I'm just trying to provide some balance to remarks made by you (and others) ... I'm not looking to do battle. But let's not make topgun98 out to be a badguy. |

Well, they found even more way to milk users. What was free on TNID, to remove your name from being available, you must now purchase a $4.95 privilege to keep your information unavailable through their pay service.
By that, it probably means hidden, not destroy.
"Yes, I want to make my data private. I'd like to remove my personal information from public data sources so that others cannot access it. I understand that for a one-time fee of just $4.95, I'll receive an Online Privacy Protection package with complete removal instructions. (Recommended) " |

It is not the same thing as the file on tnid.org

Also note the entire answer to the question:
How do I get my own information deleted from these databases? We take your privacy very seriously. You can "opt-out" of our website and members area for free online here.
Our opt-out system prevents your information from appearing to users that visit ReversePhoneDetective.com. It does not, however, remove your records from the source databases that we use (we have no control over these). That's why we created our Online Privacy Protection package.
This package will help you remove your personal information from 44 of these databases-- and prevent certain data-brokers from selling your records in the future. You can purchase this package for just $4.95 on our registration page by selecting the check box near the bottom that says "Yes, I want to make my data private." They let you opt out of reversephonedetective.com for FREE and then try to upsell a $4.95 product to remove you from a number of source databases. |
