That connection shown in your picture is the analog phone connection which does not need the twists in Cat5e for data loss prevention. Getting a RJ-11 connector to fit over the jacket of a cat 5 cable is nearly impossible. How does that make the connection inappropriately installed? |

| Last I checked it was just good business practice to use the appropriate wire in the first place rather than cobble something together. I know I wouldn't do something like that unless it was only intended to be used temporarily, VERY temporarily, if at all.
