I shouldn't have to force an other DNS. I should be able to rely on the DNS server of the ISP whom I pay for service

Indeed, I'm not making excuses for AT&T, they are my provider as well. I'm simply stating that using OpenDNS has several other benefits including fixing the issue you yourself have personally experienced.

I really hate Time Warner but I may after 8 years of SBC DSL drop them like a rock
